Top 3 most clicked words
I thought I would share with you an interesting piece of info.
Probably a lot of people are wondering which are the words that most people click on. I will exclude from this top 3 chart the words that are already sold, because naturally they have higher numbers than any available word.
Sitting at indisputable number 1 spot is the word “xxx”. (I never thought this film have so many fans.
) The second most wanted word is “sex”. I am actually surprised this is not number one. And word number 3 is “love”. Hmm. You know, it’s like they say - “If all the porn was removed from the internet, there would only be one website. It would be BringBackThePorn.com”
Ozone awards & Squido lenses
Hello again everybody!
It might be kind of stupid to start those posts like I am on a stage in front of a crowd, waving to them, but this time, at least I have an excuse. 1000words have been nominated for the Ozone Technology Awards which are given for internet achievements for Web 2.0 developments. The awards are organized by P2P Conference and sponsored by Blogtronix. So (obviously) I encourage all Bulgarians to vote for me (ME, ME, ME!!!) on this address.
Going more internationally I have discovered an interesting web tool called Squidoo and I couldn’t resist setting up lenses on the 1000 words website and on my independent film project ENTER. You can see them here and here. And here and now I, a nominated webmaster and a proud lensmaster, am telling you “so long”.
Making the Move
As you can see I have decided to move “my diary” over to a blogging system and it is called “my blog” now. This should be more friendly to the users and the search engines and would allow people to leave comments and trackback posts. I have transferred all my previous posts up to this date to the new platform, so nothing is lost.
I just came back from another interview with a national newspaper called Klasa (Class) - this one is very specialized in finances and economics. They even have a contract with Financial Times and publish articles from their bigger brother. Of course, what I wanted to know was when would Financial Times start publishing articles from them.
One Word, Two Words, Three Words
Today’s topic is health. And how the gas affects our health, or should I say how the gas makes us fly. Or maybe it’s all upside down – it’s flying what improves our health.
If you still haven’t figured it out, please excuse my pitiful attempts to be original as I should simply state that the three new words that are now purchased are ”health”, “gas” and “fly”.
Things have calmed down slightly and I can get some normal sleep now. I have to tell you - getting some good night sleep really does miracles for your health. Last night I had an interesting dream. I was flying in the sky, when all of a sudden… GAS!
I gotcha again, didn’t I?
Oscars
Yes, I know you already know the winners. I am not going to bore you with long analysis and articles. I just want to make a quick comment on the Best Picture win.
It was quite obvious that “Slumdog Millionaire” will take the most important awards home after it won the Golden Globes and the BAFTA awards. The Academy has once again not failed to choose the politically correct contender. Yes, India is a poor country, but giving the award to a Hollywood sugar-covered film will not change this.”The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is a better production in every single aspect and there is no reason to be robbed from its win. I am not a blind follower of Benjamin and I think the movie has its weaknesses, but giving it only the awards for makeup, special effects and art direction is a joke. Don’t think that I don’t like “Slumdog Millionaire”, on the contrary, I believe it’s a good film – just undeserving winner.
And while all the eyes are fixed on the Academy I have sold another word, which takes me just a bit closer to ever getting any kind of nomination (no, I am not talking about the Oscars).
Are you ready to go “extreme”?
Another two days go by; another two words are gone
“We absolutely love your website! Good luck on making your movie! We would love to purchase the word ads”. The message comes from a website that also has an interesting advertising concept, which makes their kind attitude even more valuable. Thank you guys!
The second word has not been sold, but reserved by me and myself. Myself told me that there is a word, which absolutely, under no conditions should be available for sale and I had to agree with them. Those guys do have a point. We will not reveal to you what’s the word, as it is not very hard to figure it out.
Do you think lack of sleep can cause any brain damage? We don’t think so.
Anyway, here is a statement that I would like to make. (Can you hear the loud trumpets in the air and the quickening rhythm of the drums?) I would like to invite the first 50 costumers to the pre-premier show of the film. All one thousand customers will also receive as a free gift the DVD of the film. It might not be much that I am offering, but I think it will be a nice way to thank them for their support.
OK, I am ending this entry before we say something stupid. I mean something more stupid.
A quicky
Just a quick update, since I have been real busy. I had a full page interview featured in the local paper and talked on air with the Bulgarian National Radio. I had to turn down for now two TV appearances and a radio invitation. Romania is still very strong online. My wife is still not jealous from all the e-mails from young women that I get.
Another word sold – “team” - and plenty of orders that do not qualify – I have 3 orders from Romania and maybe about 10 from Bulgaria for websites that do not have an English version. C’mon people, please read the Purchasing Term before you agree to them.
It’s been the craziest week in my life.
Irish Luck & the Film
I have some excellent news today.
The company DTC Media from Ireland has purchased four words in a bulk for all their websites (including one currently in development). This certainly shows great trust in the good future of this website. Their choices are: ‘deal’, ‘jewelry’, ‘improve’ and ‘shop’. Thank you guys for your support!
Another interesting update for you is the button ‘the film’ that you can see on the website now. I have been working on this page in the last few days to give you some detailed information about the project, people have been asking for. It contains conceptual poster, location scouting photos, concept drawings and other info, so I think it’s worth checking out.
Today, along with all the positive feedback, I have received the first hate e-mail, which greatly amuses me. Why would you spend your time writing about something you don’t like to someone you don’t like is beyond me, but it probably comes to show the price of fame you have to pay.
One word sold - many more to come…
This website has completely taken over my life. I couldn’t even find some time to update you on all that’s happening.
Tuesday has been a big day for 1000words in Romania, as this was the first country to spread the news about it with quite a few websites posting articles about 1000wordsforsale.com. I have even received an e-mail from a Romanian girl (hey, my wife is asleep when I am writing this!) that said she has heard about it on the radio. So big thanks to our neighbors to the north!
On Wednesday the news crossed the border and hit home. And it hit it hard! 24 Chasa (24 Hours), one of the biggest Bulgarian daily newspapers had a half-page article on the back cover. It was only a matter of hours before most major e-media outlets spread it all over the place and I started getting phone calls for newspaper interviews and television appearances. Tonight I have to travel to the capital - Sofia – it’s not easy being famous, after all.
I almost forgot - a friend of mine purchased the word “mind” for his website (also as a way of supporting the screenplay, which he likes very much) and I have plenty more orders sitting in my inbox, waiting to be finalized.
Two More Words Sold!
Kind of. I sold one and I… traded another one. A legal consultant managed to persuade me that I definitely need some legal help and protection. I was reluctant at first, but then I recalled the lady who put her cat in the microwave to dry it, because it was wet, and then successfully sued the company producer. Because, surprisingly, it died!
On the night after I had a nightmare about cats spinning in 3D space around some microwaves who were trying to eat them, opening and closing their ever-hungry doors. No, I am just kidding you. But seriously speaking I figured out that after all it is worth to trade a word for possible legal protection. So now all of you should fear the Mighty Lawyer on my side!
The word that actually sold is ‘night’, going to a rock club that is very close to where I live. A very nice place if you like this type of music with lots of live bands coming often.
Good night everyone and may the law be on your side.
